"Hi Isabelle,

I just wished to email you and let you know how much I enjoyed today's tour. I certainly would not have been able to experience this on my own. I'm so very thankful to see the New Orleans area and people are determined to make it and they are an example for all of us.

Unfortunately I did not get the tours guide's name - she was most informative and very friendly and did a great job. Her personal accounts and experiences were very appreciated. (His tour guide was Ginnie.)

Thank you much !! Louisiana is a very, very special place."

Best wishes,
Rick

"My friends and I toured the city and plantations w/Ginny and she was remarkable. We were there late March to early April. She has a tremendous amount of knowledge and history about New Orleans and she made the tours the best they could be. Thank you."

Dear Tours by Isabelle,
"My family and myself really enjoyed both tours (Post Katrina and the City Combo) during our visit Jan.14-18, 2009. Both guides were very informative with the facts and very tasteful with expressing their own personal opinions on what went wrong and right during the flood. New Orleans will come back slowly but cautiously. The people from New Orleans have a lot of heart and soul. Thanks again for showing off your city."

"Amazing - No Trip to New Orleans is Complete Without a Tour by Isabelle" My first trip to New Orleans was amazing thanks to Tours by Isabelle. I took three tours over three days: Post Katrina; the City Tour; and a tour which included the West Bank Plantations. The guides were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and the small group size made a big difference in the experience. I highly recommend this tour company to anyone who visits New Orleans.

"We took the Post-Katrina tour on Monday at 8:30. I didn't get the guest book before I was dropped off, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to tell you how much we enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very informative and quite a good presenter. She explained the whole situation and told the whole story as a survivor. I have read and watched many news events about this storm, but seeing it even 3 years later makes it more understandable. I debated taking the Gray-Line tour (at a much cheaper rate), but opted for yours and I'm so glad I did. Thanks again for such a great tour guide and presenting this information in such a professional manner. New Orleans is such a great city; you have my prayers for continued recovery."

"I want to thank you so much for the wonderful tours your company provided for us. We went on the airboat/plantation tour, the Post Katerina/city tour. We enjoyed it so much and would highly recommend your company for future visitors. Our favourite was the airboat ride. Our "captain" was so much fun and made it exciting and unforgettable. He really gave it his all to show us a great trip. Our drivers were great. They both were very knowledgeable and had so much to show and tell us. We were very impressed and learned a whole lot of things about New Orleans. Our driver that we had for our Katrina/City tour was awesome. He was lots of fun and if we wanted to stop anywhere he would, he was very accommodating. We enjoyed it more than words can express. I hope to bring my family there one day, I know my daughter would love it. When we do come I hope that we will be able to book with your company again. A big heartfelt thank you to all of you, it was wonderful. " Take Care.

"Unforgettable."

My wife and I took the Post-Katrina tour. Rose, our guide, gave an outstanding and informative talk, including a visit to her own neighborhood. Despite the fact that she had lost her own home, she conducted the tour with good humor and a sense of optimism. The details were fascinating: For example, we learned from reading the holes in the roofs whether a family has escaped on their own or whether they had had help. Overall, we came away with a much clearer understanding of what happened and why, and who it happened to. The experience has really stayed with both of us. No one should visit New Orleans without taking this tour.

"My husband and I took two tours offered by Isabelle and found the Post Katrina tour fascinating and far more informative than we had been by the various media. The spirit of people from all over who keep coming to help rebuild and clear out still very evident damage remaining in parts of New Orleans is inspiring. The Musicians' Project is delightful and a testimony of people's giving nature. Most of all the spirit of the various people from New Orleans we met was remarkable and real. The Combo tour of New Orleans was also informative, rich and fascinating. I highly recommend these tours."

"Post Katrina Tour"

"After reading about Tours by Isabelle from a travel guidebook, I found the website and reviewed which tours were available. We were curious about the damage experienced from Hurricane Katrina so we booked the Post Katrina tour.

We were picked up at our B&B by Diane, our guide. Within 30 minutes, we were joined by 9 other travelers. The van held about 12 people. The tour was $60 per person for 3.5 hours. During the tour, we stopped for a restroom break.

Very informative, extensive tour. It's amazing how much damage still exists three years after Hurricane Katrina hit. Diane provided maps of the affected area to include where the levees were breached. Also, she provided newspaper articles to emphasize several points during the tour. During the 3.5 hours, we toured the parishes which were hit hard by the flooding and parishes that were saved by functioning levees. Also, we toured the different levees which had been breached. We saw the efforts of reconstruction and areas which appear to have been forgotten about.

Once again, this is a very informative tour. Seeing both the effects of Hurricane Katrina three years after the disaster and the efforts to rebuild was a sobering experience."

"A Must See"

Last Friday (02/22/08), I took the Post-Katrina Tour by Isabelle with Diane as the guide. I could not believe the devastation that still exists nearly three years after the fact. Seeing the state that sections of the city are currently in, especially the Ninth Ward and St. Bernard Parish, I cannot believe living the horror that the residents of New Orleans faced immediately following Katrina and continue to experience to this day.

Diana proved as an extremely knowledgeable guide. She told the entire story in a heartfelt, educational, and professional manner.

I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to all visitors to New Orleans.
